Casual Cook

Reporting to the Nutrition Manager and Food Service Supervisor, the Cook prepares and serves meals in accordance with standardized recipes and prescribed diets, ensuring quality, portion control, and timely service. The role maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, monitors supplies and equipment, and keeps accurate records such as temperature logs and menu changes. This position also provides guidance to Dietary Aides and supports departmental operations in the absence of leadership. Candidates must hold a recognized culinary or food and nutrition credential, have strong food safety knowledge, and be available to work weekends and holidays. pdanyluck@umh.ca
