Eligibility for an Apartment

To qualify for an apartment, the tenant must be at least 60 years of age, or if involuntarily retired from the work force, then at least 50 years of age. In the case of couples, at least one partner must be 60 years or older in order to qualify for an apartment.

While serving the Mennonite community, its doors are open to all persons who meet the age criteria regardless of race, religion or ethnic background.

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) has assisted with the construction and operation of this project from its inception in 1982, and through them some subsidies are available. Tenants with low income may apply and receive "rent-geared-to-income", if eligible.
